Prof. Dr. André Fuhrmann

André Fuhrmann retired in 2025 as Professor of Theoretical Philosophy from Goethe University Frankfurt. He continues his interests in the theory of belief change. In the project he looks at the theory as providing a general format for common ground management. Certain forms of negation can thus be understood as signalling an operation of cancelling information from common ground (“downdating”).
