Prof. Dr. Petra Schulz

Petra Schulz is Professor of German as a Second Language at the Institute of Psycholinguistics and Didactics of German (Goethe University Frankfurt). She is particularly interested in acquisition processes at the interface of syntax and semantics as well as in ways of diagnosing and promoting children’s language competence. Using a variety of experimental methods, she addresses the question of the universality and robustness of language acquisition paths by comparing different languages and acquisition types, including monolingual and early second language acquisition as well as developmental language disorders.
